Interactive Workshops

Each year the TCC holds workshops on a variety of industry-relevant topics to bring members and technology community together to identify common problems or link to potential solutions and build collaborations. These workshops are extremely popular among the members and provide immense value to attendees in connecting with community related to the common topic of interest. Some of the previously held workshops have been on Automations, AI & Robotics, Connected Devices & Remote Sensing, Data Analytics, Augmented Reality, Small Launch Vehicles, Wearable Technologies, etc.

Collaboration Concierge

The Collaboration Concierge Service of the TCC helps organizations find partners and provides assistance in formation of new collaboration partnerships to solve technical challenges. This service is offered to member and non-member organizations. The TCC provides a platform for organizations to submit collaboration requests and/ or collaboration responses. Then the TCC will facilitate partnership between the requestor and responder in solving the challenge posted.

Innovative Seminars

The TCC can hold Onsite seminars to explore potential cross-industry collaboration. These seminars differ from the Workshops as these are hosted at an organization that is interested in the topic of the seminar, and the agenda is tailored to the host organization’s specific interests in that technology area. Experts from the TCC community make presentations followed by panel and group discussions on the shared interest. The attendance in these seminars is limited by the host organization and the discussions are more open with an interest in potential collaboration. TCC’s first onsite seminar was held at Schlumberger in 2019 exploring technologies in ‘Imaging’ with great success.

Strategic Themes

A program helping organizations sharing major technology challenges form new collaboration partnerships, likely across technology sectors. The TCC will facilitate formation of the partnership, and then help the partnership build momentum towards solving the technology problems and bringing the solutions to market. If your organization has major technology challenges and you’re interested in forming a partnership to work together on solving these challenges and bringing the solutions to market, then contact the TCC. The onsite/virtual seminars act as a litmus test to see if the theme has potential to be a multiyear strategic theme.

Unique Collaboration Services

The TCC’s mission is to solve difficult technology problems through innovative solutions connecting collaboration partners across technology sectors. The TCC provides two Collaboration Programs to help form new partnerships.

The Collaboration Concierge Service is the TCC's program for helping an organization with unmet technical challenges find potential partners and providing assistance in the formation of new collaboration partnerships. This program is open to any organization – to submit Collaboration Requests (looking for partners) or Collaboration Responses (proposing solutions).

Organizations submit Collaboration Requests (using a supplied form) to the TCC. The request describes the problem to be solved, along with critical items such as the potential for sharing of Intellectual Property or how the collaboration could be funded. While collaborations created by Requests may be fully funded by the submitting organization, responders may also be asked to include a proposal for how the collaboration could be funded as part of their Response.

New Requests are submitted for review by the TCC, which will provide advice on improvements on the request before the request is accepted by the TCC. The Request will then be posted on the TCC’s website and included in a TCC News announcement. The TCC may form an expert panel to review new Requests and provide advice on potential solutions or partners. Presentations on open Collaboration Requests may be made at relevant TCC workshops.

Any organization can submit a Collaboration Response (using a supplied form). The TCC will review submitted responses, provide advice on improvements, and then forward the proposal to the Requesting organization. The TCC will work with the Requesting organization on forming an effective partnership, that will both find solutions to the challenges and establish a path to market for those solutions.

Open Collaboration Requests

Through the Strategic Challenge Service, the TCC helps organizations sharing major technology challenges form new collaboration partnerships, likely across technology sectors.

The TCC will facilitate formation of the partnership, and then help the partnership build momentum towards solving the technology problems and bringing the solutions to market. The details of this program are under development by the Collaboration Committee formed by the TCC’s Board of Directors.

If your organization has major technology challenges, shared with other organizations, and you’re interested in forming a partnership to work together on solving these challenges and bringing the solutions to market, possibly across multiple technology sectors or industries, then contact the TCC for the current status of this program and get involved in the selection of the first pilot projects.

The TCC is planning to explore strategic challenges in the following areas:
